PRODUCT
DESCRIPTION:
Terocore®
1015 is a high strength, medium
viscosity, exothermically expanding, epoxy based structural foam used
to impart
increased stiffness to E-coated metal cavities. When mixed at a 2 to 1
ratio,
the two-part structural foam cures at room temperature to form a gray,
rigid
foam. The fully cured epoxy is
resistant to environmental elements such as humidity, salt spray, heat
and
compressive and torsional forces.
TYPICAL
APPLICATIONS:
Terocore®
1015
should be applied to clean automotive E-coated substrates.
Ideal for reinforcing body cavities,
structural joints and other automotive applications where a high
modulus low
density material is desired. The
material requires a minimum mass of 200 cc to cure rapidly and expand
to its
maximum potential.

DIRECTIONS
FOR USE:
1.
Material
should be preheated to 40 – 50 C prior to application in
order to obtain maximum expansion of the curing product.
2.
Use gloves
to minimize skin contact. Use caution when
utilizing cleaning solvents.
3.
Substrate
should be clean and free of oil, grease or dirt. Clean
substrate with suitable cleaner.
4.
Dual
Cartridges: To use
simply snap the dual cartridge assembly together. Remove
cartridge nozzle plugs and save to reseal cartridge if
needed. Next, place static mixing nozzle over threaded nozzle end and
tighten
down with the nozzle retaining nut supplied with the kit.
Load cartridge assembly into either a
pneumatic or manual dual cartridge dispensing gun.
Dispense material until material is thoroughly mixed and uniform
gray
in color. Material is now ready for
dispensing use. When dispensing is completed, remove static mixing
element and
discard. Place nozzle end plugs back
into ends of the cartridge and remove from the dispensing gun.
5.
Bulk
materials: Materials supplied
in 5, 55 or 300 gallon containers require dispensing equipment to
properly
pump, meter and mix the material.
Contact your local pump company to verify performance parameters.
6.
Make sure
that the cavity or section to be filled is properly
sealed so that material will not leak.
Heat tape, duct tape, foam and
modeling clay are commonly used to seal off large openings in sheet
metal.
7.
If cavity
section requires more than one cartridge to fill make
sure that sufficient number are preheated and ready for filling. It is recommended that the entire fill be
conducted as quickly as possible.
8.
Large masses
of mixed material will create heat when curing and
metal surface temperatures may exceed 150 F.

PACKAGING:
Material is available in 2 part side-by-side cartridges, 5 gallon pails, 55 gallon drums and 300 gallon magna totes.
Part
specific packaging is designed for
each application.
